Report Out on HRC Community Engagement on Mountain View Policing
 | Wednesday, November 18, 2020 6:30-8:30pm Zoom Registration: Here Over the past few months, community members shared their stories about their experience with Mountain View police during Listening Forums, through an online portal and in one-on-one interviews. PCRC analyzed the stories to identify common themes, which will be reported out at a virtual community meeting (date TBD). Participants at the report out session will be invited to engage in small group discussions to: reflect on how the experiences shared by story tellers may be similar to or different from their own, imagine the perspectives of both the story teller and the police, and highlight what went well and what the police could have done differently to improve the experience. Following the November 18 report out session, the HRC Subcommittee will present a report on the themes from the community engagement process to the City Council on December 1. This report will help inform future police policies and programs. |
